Author Quick Chat with Vicki Locey

Hi, readers! Today I’ve got author Vicki Locey here for a quick and easy chat. I posed one question to Vicki:

What have been the five most important moments in your life?

She wasted no time coming up with answers. Five

1-Marrying my husband.
2-Giving birth to my daughter.
3-Discovering my love of writing.
4-Signing my first contract for a book.
5-Publishing my first book.

Now, your turn. What have been the five most important moments in YOUR life?

Vicki V.L. Locey loves worn jeans, belly laughs, anything romantic, Greek mythology, New York Rangers hockey,  comic books and coffee. (Not necessarily in that order.) She shares her life with her husband, her daughter, one dog, two cats, a steer named after a famous N.H.L. goalie,  a pig named after a famous President, and a flock of assorted domestic fowl.

V.L. is a self-published and conventionally published author. She is a proud Torquere Press and Secret Cravings Publishing author. When not writing romantic tales, she can be found enjoying her day with her menagerie in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania with a cup of fresh java in hand. She can also be found online on Facebook, Twitter, and GoodReads.

Painfully shy Liz Argon probably shouldn`t be dreaming of Veikko Aho, star goalie for the Philadelphia Wildcats. As she works side by side with ‘The Count of the Crease’ on his memoirs, she finds herself falling for the handsome goaltender. His tender ways with her and her mentally fragile mother are slowly claiming her heart. If only Veikko wasn’t already engaged to a woman far better suited to move in to ‘The Count’s’ world. In book two of the To Love a Wildcat series, we`ll see if a glass slipper can survive in the rough and tumble world of professional ice hockey.

  1. Oh, interesting! Such a seemingly simple and innocent question is actually great food for thought… here are my two cents, or rather, five answers:
    1) marrying my husband
    2) graduating from German high-school
    3) establishing my own writing business
    4) publishing my first book
    5) cutting off all ties to my parents (this one’s a long, painful story and actually not one moment, but definitely important)

    • Oh, Devika, I wasn’t aware of #5…yes, definitely an important part of your life experience. I’m sure a lot of the emotion involved gets channeled into writing. And…when can we expect to see you here for a “quick chat”?

  2. Love the cover and blurb. Best of luck to you. 5 most important events in my life–1- The birth of my 5 children. 2-Meeting and marrying my husband. 3-Graduating from Practical Nursing School. 4-Passing state boards for my nursing license. 5-Signing a contract for the release of my first book.

    • Wow! Five kids…that’s five big moments right there 🙂 I’m sure there were lot of interesting moments over the years, as well. I have a question with your name on it, too, Tabitha. When are you going to do a “quick chat” with readers? Message me through Facebook, or email me!

  3. What a great post! Mine are:
    1. Marrying my husband
    2. The birth of my son
    3. The birth of my granddaughter
    4. Seeing my words in print
    5. Walking the Camino de Santiago de Compostelo in Spain

    • LOL! Thanks. You just brought back a memory…we had a “pig in the parlor” (supposed to be good luck, you know) and we named it “Porque Pig”. Actually, he’s still there. His ear got broken off, but we glued it back on, and he’s sitting atop the fireplace mantel.
