We read to know that we are not alone. – C. S. Lewis –
This delightful quote from C. S. Lewis reaches right to the heart of reading. We read in order to know and feel our connection to the world. Even when we read fantasy, paranormal, or science fiction, there’s still a very real human connection between reader and character.
Reading, however, is usually a solitary act. Most of us read alone — in quiet places. We don’t want to be disturbed while we’re turning pages.
Afterward, it’s different. When we’ve read a good book — or one that was not-so-good — we want to talk about it, share our thoughts, give recommendations to others.
Fortunately, with today’s technology — Internet, tablets, Kindles, Nooks, smart-phones — we can instantly be in touch with thousands of readers from around the world.

These are only a few of the resources available to make the reading experience even more enjoyable — and to offer opportunities for reviewing and recommending books to others. If you know of additional sites/resources, please add them in the comments.
